Cathay Pacific Business Class Experience

Being an ordinary class workman, business class is always a far away dream for my travel, however, being the courtesy of my father-in-law, who is a diamond member of the Marco Polo Club (the world known Cathay Frequent Flyer Plan), My wife and I were lucky enough to get a mileage upgrade on our return journey from Toronto back to Hong Kong. It was a last mintues upgrade and I have to say I am more than happy to try out my first ever "bone-shell" business class experience in one of the longest flight in aviation (15+ hour). I was sitting in my seat playing with the buttons and it offers a flat bed. Even though the bone shell flatbed is somewhat comfortable (well, may be it's a bit narrow for big guys!), but still I was so excited that I didn’t sleep. I was also offered a pre-flight drinks and meals serve like what’s being described in other’s trip report. I get a chance to taste the well known “Cathay Delight” which was GREAT! Thank you Cathay for this unforgettable experience and of course heads up for the boss of this trip – My father-in-Law).

A380 Experience

Being an aviation enthusiast, travelling on the “King of the Sky” become a must and I have wasted no time into booking my next flight on this magnificent flight. Sitting in the rear end of the flight in the lower floor, I can hardly hear the engine sound. It feels like sitting in the family room watching TV. Walking upstairs to the second floor to the upper cabin feels like climbing into a B767. The spacious interior along with the magnificent lightning makes this aircraft a one of a kind aircraft. The only thing I have to complain is that the time is too short as it only takes 3.5 hours from Hong Kong to Singapore. If you haven’t try this bird, catch your chance while SQ will soon deploy the A380 elsewhere.

The meal provided on the A380, not the best I ever had, but quite nice for a short flight.
