We have the 1000th airbus!

Airbus has celebrated the delivery of the 1,000^th A330. The aircraft, an A330-300 powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines, was handed over to Cathay Pacific Airways at special ceremony in Toulouse today. Cathay Pacific together with its sister airline Dragonair is the world’s largest operator of the A330, with a total of 56 now in service.

China Airlines unveils themed plane by Taiwanese illustrator

Taiwan's leading air carrier China Airlines unveiled on Friday a fuselage painted by Jimmy Liao, one of the country's most famous illustrators, in a bid to promote Taiwan's creativity and environmental awareness to the world.

Titled Hug and Wish, the Boeing 747-400 jet carries the motif of harmony between humans and the environment through the characters of children, animals and the Earth.

CX plane diverted to Winnipeg

A Cathay Pacific B777-300ER enrouted from Hong Kong to Chicago has a fire indicator light on when flying over the sky of Canada and is force to land in Winnipeg which is the first time for a CX metal to be in this city.  All people on board are safe.

Lion Air passenger plane crashes into sea off coast of Bali

All 101 passengers and seven crew on the Lion Air flight survived, although dozens were said to be injured and at least seven were taken to hospital with head wounds and broken bones.

The new Boeing 737-800 had been trying to land at Denpasar's Ngurah Rai International Airport about 3.30pm local time (1730 AEST) on Saturday when it crashed.

 WELLINGTON—In an era where cash-strapped carriers are charging for luggage and meals, a tiny South Pacific airline is pioneering a radical pricing model that no other airline has dared to try: charging passengers based on their weight. Customers flying Samoan upstart carrier Samoa Air Ltd. on short international hops to neighboring American Samoa are set to pay US$0.92 per kilogram, or $0.42 a pound, for each flight.

A Close Call for CZ 737-800

Incident: China Southern B738 at Wuhan on Feb 25th 2013, collided with NDB antenna on approach but managed to climb away

A China Southern Boeing 737-800, registration B-5192 performing flight CZ-3367 from Guangzhou to Wuhan (China), was on a NDB/DME approach (minimum 1200 meters visibily required, MDA 430 feet) to Wuhan's runway 04 in visibility of 1500 meters occasionally reduced to 1200 meters in light rain and light fog and cloud ceiling 690 feet. The aircraft had been configured for landing before reaching the final approach fix and was maintaining 1800 feet when the aircraft reached the final approach fix at the outer marker 5.1nm before the runway threshold.

Emergency exit 'blew open' on Hong Kong-bound Emirates A380 flight

A British tourist has claimed an emergency exit on an Emirates Airline superjumbo blew open at more than 8,000 metres on a flight from Bangkok to Hong Kong.

David Reid and his son Lewis heard what they thought was a "massive explosion" two hours into Monday's flight on the £250 million (HK$3 billion) Airbus A380. Freezing air blasted in and the cabin pressure plunged after the door in business class came 4cm ajar, leaving a gaping hole, Reid said.
