Qatar B777-300ER New Color



Qatar airways have recently been awarded by Skytrax as a 5-star airline. They have also introduce a new corporate identity which is similar to their old one. Qatar, one of the fast growing airlines in Middle-East has its based in Doha, their nation’s capital. The Boeing B777-300ER joins their fleet in year 2009. It also painted into the new livery with the Larger Goat identify in the tail. This Herpa 500 scale plane is a new release model which just onboard Aero Shop last month. Catch it while stock last.

Hong Kong Airlines/Hong Kong Express



Few people will recognize these two airlines even though their name contains the word Hong Kong. Hong Kong Airlines and Hong Kong Express, both are considered as low cost, budgeted airlines or at least they are being symbol this way. With the merge into the Chinese giant Hainan aviation group, the two has been heavily subsidiaries by them. It’s often being criticized by the delay and cancelling of the flight. However it definitely brings more competition to Hong Kong aviation market ever since the collapse of Oasis Hong Kong airlines. The design of the livery is similar to those of Hainan group and has a very significant Chinese flavor. These two birds are highly chased by Hong Kong collectors.

Continental B777-200ER Peter Max



It used to be a regular visitor to VHHH (Hong Kong). Continental airlines has painted one of its B777-200ER into the Peter Max livery. This is one of the most colorful livery in aviation industry and become an eye catching bird for plane spotter.

Let me introduce some of the background for this bird. This Boeing 777 widebodyjet with a spectacular one-of-a-kind exterior design was painted by artist Mr. Peter Max to commemorate NYC 2000, the official millennium celebration for the City of New York. The aircraft features the NYC 2000 logo emblazoned on the side. This innovative flying canvas is a first for world renowned pop artist
Peter Max, whose artwork has enlivened major events including the Super Bowl,
World Cup Soccer and the New York City Marathon among other things.
Commissioned by Continental to design this Boeing 777 in honor of NYC 2000,
the artist blanketed its 209-foot length in bright hues of red, blue, yellow
and orange.
